Inkjet Printing
The inventors of the inkjet printer was Canon, Hewlett-Packard, and Epson. This printer was created in the 1950's but the printer was able to print from a computer in the 1870's. The idea of the inkjet printer came from John Vaught who though of how a coffee machine operates and applied it to a printer.

The first electronic printer was called the EP-101 created by Japanese company Epson. This printer had a width of 164 millimeters and a height of 102 millimeters which created a weight of 2.5 kilograms.

Commercial Printers
Commercial printers used electric typewriters and Teletype machines. The new and hot printer of the time was the HP LaserJet printer. This printer was able to print off of computers in the 1990's which was a big improvement from the previous years.

The method used to invent a 3D printer was called stereolithography. stereolithography was all the ways a 3D printer uses a UV laser to make a liquid photopolymer resin into layers to make a solid object.

All In One Printers
All in one printers were able to do everything as it states in the name of the printer. It could do regular printing, scanning, fax, and copying. This printer was made to prevent a loss of money from buying multiple printers that all do different things so this was made to save hundreds of dollars.

Refurbished Printers
In the 1990's people started refurbishing printers. This was a way to get a printer for a fraction of the price of a new one. A refurbished printer is either unsold new stock or have been used before. It is another way to save money because you are practically buying a new printer just in different packaging and way cheaper. This was a very smart thing for people to start to do in the 1990's.

Wireless Printers
The inventor of the wireless printer was Andrew Clams. It is able to connect to your device through Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. A fact about wireless printers is that in 2010 half of the printers bought in the US were wireless.

Current Printers
Printers today can do astonishing things. They can print 20 pages full of words in less than 10 seconds with high quality words and photos. There are many printers in our time and they can all do different things but they are all a huge improvement from the 1900's.

Future Printers
The future holds many things including printers. In 2040 we will have printers that are building skyscrapers, fancy buildings and there will be no more construction workers. Buildings and objects will be made by printers. There will be growths in cities all because of printers and one day it will only take a few hours to make a building which currently takes us years.
