    Buddha's birth

    Buddha was born in 623 b.c. During Buddha's birth, queen Maya had her birth pains in a forest and a tree lent down offering its branches as support. The baby Buddha was born. Lotus flowers bloomed in his footsteps. Queen and father named him Siddhartha. The name means "He who brings good".

    Queen Maya's death

    A week after the king pronounced the birth of his son and had been told by a great astronomer that he would be a saviour and teacher rather than a king, Queen Maya fell ill. She was struck with a sudden sickness (Disease) and passed a week after Buddha's birth. She died in 563 BC

    Buddha Find's Suffering for the first time outside the kingdom

    Once when Buddha was in one of his 3 kingdoms built so that he had no knowledge of pain or worry and he had heard a song of haunting beauty. His wife said that all she knew was pain and suffering outside of the palace walls. He decided he'd go out as if the world was so beautiful why had he not seen it. First, he saw an old poor man and then a woman in pain and then he saw an ill man and then a dead body being carried and also a cremation. This is known as The Great Renunciation

    The enlightenment (Known as Buddha)

    One day, seated beneath the Bodhi tree (the tree of awakening) Siddhartha became deeply absorbed in meditation, and reflected on his experience of life, determined to penetrate its truth. He finally achieved Enlightenment and became the Buddha.

    The first Sermon (Dharma)

    This is known as Dharma. He gave his first sermon on the outskirts of the city of Varanasi at a deer park called Sarnath. This first sermon presents an overview of suffering and the way out of suffering. It is called the “Four Noble Truths.” The Buddha is often described as a physician who first diagnoses an illness and then suggests medicine to cure the illness. He said to follow four truths, There is death, pain, suffering and illness
