    He was impeached from office for violateing the Tenure of Office Act. He vetoed more bills than any previous president. He belived in keeping the power out of the wealthy's hands.

    Ulysses S. Grant was married to Julia Dent Grant on August 22, 1848. They had 4 children together. When he was president he was involved in Reconstruction 1865–1877 the system of bringing the Southern states back into the U.S. after the Civil War! In The year of 1877 Ulysses S. Grant ended The Nez Pierce War.

    The year of 1864 Hayes was still defending the North. The Republican Party in Cincinnati nominated him for Congress. Rutherford Hayes accepted the nomination but Rutherford refused to campaign.

    Benjamin Harrison had the first "front-porch" campaigns Benjamin gave short speeches to visiters that visited him in Indianapolis his home town. Benjamin Harrison attended Miami University in the sate of Ohio. The most problem was that Harrison faced the tariff issue. The high tariff rates effect were createing a lost of money in the Treasury.

    December 1887 he called on Congress to reduce high protective tariffs. Taft did not like the campaign it was the most uncomfortable four months of his life he clams. Grover also signed the Interstate Commerce Act it was the first law attempting Federal regulation of the railroads in 1893.

The Balllinger-Pinchot affair sabotage former president Rossovelts conservation program losseing Rossovelts support and that of progressives. He also passed the man-Elkins act extedeing powers of Intesatate Commerce Commission to telephone and telgraph companys.

    Callvin Coolidge
    President Coolidge restored confidence in the White House. He reduced the size of goverment programs. He was Vice President and took over the Presidency when President Harding died.
