  • Woodrow Wilson

    The most important events during Wilson's presidency were the passage of the 19th amendment which allowed woman to vote, the Federal Reserve System was income tax was initiated and in 1917 America entered World War I.
  • Warren G. Harding

    Some major events while he was in office were the Teapot Dome Scandal, he officially opposed entry into the League of Nations, World War I was formally ended by joint resolution, War protestor Eugene V. Debbs was pardoned, U.S, France, Great Britain, Japan and Italy signed an agreement to limit naval armaments. Harding died while in office on August 2, 1923 in San Francisco, California.
  • Calvin Coolidge

    Calvin Coolidge became president in 1923. His policy was that the government should try to interfere as little as possible with businesses and individuals. Indian Reorganization Act, Immigration Act of 1924, and Revenue Acts of 1924. The Kellogg- Briant Pact of 1928 reanounced war as a soultion to resolve international differences. The Great Depression begins in 1929.
  • Herbert Hoover

    He was blamed for the Stock Market Crash and for the Great Depression. The Hawley- Smoot Tariff was passed in 1930 and the Bonus Army March in 1932.
  • Franklin D. Roosevelt

    Franklin D. Roosevelt led America out of the Great Depression and towards victory in World War II. Some important events during his presidency were: The Twenty-Frst Amendment- repeal of Prohibition (1933), the Dust Bowl begins in 1934, the Social Security Act of 1935, World War II begins in 1939, Pearl Harbor was attacked and the U.S. enters World War II in 1941.
