  • The September 11th Terrorist Attack

    The September 11th Terrorist Attack
    On September 11, 2001, terrorists attacked the Unites States. They hijacked four airplanes in mid-flight. The terrorists flew two of the planes into two skyscrapers at the World Trade Center in New York City. The impact caused the buildings to catch fire and collapse. Another plane destroyed part of the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia.
  • Ground Zero Speech

    Ground Zero Speech
    After the Attack on the Twin Towers, President Bush went out and spoke with the public, "American today is on bended knee, in prayer for the people whose lives were lost here." President Bush brought back the American spirit for all the people who needed it, so they could rebuild what they had lost.

    On the 21st of August in 2006, Saddam Hussein was put on trial. He was found guilty for aiding in war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide. On November 5th he was sentenced to death by hanging. On December 30 he was executed.

    Former President Gerald Ford, who led the United States out of the Watergate era, died on December 27th at 6:45 P.M. At 93 Gerald Ford was labeled the oldest former president.
