Bush and vice president Dick cheney,And Al gore with Joe Lieberman.Even though Al won with more of the populatuion vote,George won with the most electoral votes; 271 to 266 -

Feburary 1st 2001-The space shuttle Columbia self destructed and caused the deaths of 7 crew members.The noted cause of explosion was a damaged wing while in orbit.The accident took place over Texas and Louisana borders,the results of this tragity was the grounding of space shuttle programs for nearly two years out of safety investigations. -
The exucution of Timothy Mcveigh
Back on April 19 1995,Timothy Mcveigh lit spark bombs and blew up the Alfred P. Federal building,he was responsible for the deaths of 168 people and the injurys of over 680 people.People wanted justice to be served long ago and believed that he didn't deserve the right of life for 6 years before being put to death,but during Bushes presidency we finally saw justice.On June 11 2001,Timothy was put to death at the age of 33,at Terra Haute,And by lethal injection. -

Created on December 13th 2003,its goal was to capture the Iraq president,Saddam Hussein.The search of Hussein was known as one of the biggest funded manhunt in history,Hussein was finally found in Tikrit.Durring the whole ordeal,a total of 2 men were captured and none was killed. -

Saddam Hussein found guilty
After being captured back in 2003,Hussein was put on trail and found guilty of terrorism crimes on November 4th 2006.He was sentenced to hang for his crimes and on December 30th 2006,He was hung at the Iraq military place camp justice.The execution was planned to be postponed,but the execution was carried out after a court voted to have him executed sooner -

On December 26th 2006,the whole country fell silent after the passing of former 38th president Gerald Ford.Gerald served in office from August 9th 1974 to January 20th 1977 and also served as House minority leader and 40th vice president of the U.S.Ford passed away of cardiovascular disease at Ranco mirage,California,his final resting place is at the Gerald R. Ford presidential museum. -

Barack Obama ran for president in 2008 with John McCain.Obama won by 52.9% and took office Janurary 20th 2009.By that time,bush could not run for president again as he already served 2 years,which is the term limit for presidency.
