    The sperm joins with the egg for fertilization. Mom has yet to discover she is pregnant

    The fertilized egg is waiting to be ovulated out to the uterus. The mother's last period is likely starting, creating more hormones. The uteran wall is prepating for the baby.

    Weeks 2+3

  • Week 3

    By now, the single cell has split into 100 cells. The clump of cells is traveling through the fallopian tubes. The female body doesn't experience much change except for more production of horomones
  • Week 4

    The cells of the baby have penetrated the uteran wall and are now implanted. The embryo and placenta are made. The mother can start experiencing mood swings, bloating, and cramping, but still no pregnancy test will give a reliable answer. The women may also experience implantation bleeding

    The baby appears to look as if it has a head and a tail. The baby's heart is formed, and a heartbeat can be detected. Now, a mother could take a home pregnancy test and get a result. Mood swings are still present. Mother can experience exhaustion, tender breasts, and nausea.

    The baby's head, kidneys, liver, lungs, and heart are all starting to take shape. The mother is bloated, queasy, frequesntly urinating, and a break in sleep routines.

    The tongue, mouth arms and legs are beginning to develop for the baby. The symptoms for the mother are nausea, excess saliva, swollen breasts, and bumps on the areola.

    The baby now has lips, a nose, and eyelids. The fingers and toes are starting to seperate. The baby's heart is racing at 150 beats per minute. A small baby bump might be present, and the first occurences of morning sickness arrive.

    The baby is now a fetus instead of an embryo. The head is better developed, the liver, spllen and gullbladder are forming, while the arms and legs are getting muscles. Week 9 gives a feeling of exterme fatigue to the mother.

    Bones and cartilage are forming in the arms and legs of the baby while teeth are forming underneath the guns. The mother experiences nausea, vomiting, and constipation, and more visible veins.

    The baby's sex glands are forming, and now has fingers and toes. The ears are nearly developed, the nasal passages are forming, a tounge, and nipples are showing. Bloating and cravings are arriving

    The baby is now using the digestive system. White blood cells and the pituitary gland are forming. Dizzy spells are starting for the mother
