  • Israeli-Lebanese Border War

    (1948-still going on)
    Military clashes between Isreal, Lebanon, and syria. Some militias are also invlolved. They fight over the land.
  • Yemeni Civil War

    Fought in North Yemen between royalist of the Mutawakkilite Kingdom of Yemen and parts of the Yemen Arab Republic. It started out with a republic leader Abdullah as-Sallal carying out a coup d'état and dethroning the new Imam al-Badr. The Imam escaped to the saudi arabian border when they declaired a new yemen republic.
  • Lebanese Civil War

    It occured in Lebanon in 1975 and ended near 1990. Around 120,000 people had died and even today many people are displaced within Lebanon and some were exoduses.
  • Iraqi Shia unrest in Karbala

    Widespread Shia demonstrations took place in Iraq in February 1977, when the government suspected a bomb close to Karbala to pilgrimage at the height of a religious ceremony. Violent clashes between police and Shia pilgrims spread from Karbala to An Najaf and lasted for several days before army troops were called.
  • Egyptian-Libyan Border War

    The war was between Libya and Egypt. There were first gun battles between troops on the border and even air strike. But later they agreed to ceasefire. Libyan opposition to Sadat's peace policy as well as the breakdown of unification talks between the two governments caused the war.
  • Saudi-Yemen Border Conflict

    A conflict over the border of Saudi Arabia and Yemen. The possible oil reserves, civil war, and Saudi interventions in Yemeni politics have driven the conflict.
  • Israeli Invasion of Lebanon

    The Israel Defense Forces invaded southern Lebanon to remove Seriyan influence over Lebanon.
  • The First Intifada

    A Palestinian uprising against the Isreali occupation of Palestinian territories.
  • First Persian Gulf War

    Began 1990 and ended in1991 it was waged by coalition force from 34 nations led by the United States against Iraq in response to Iraq's invasion and annexation of Kuwait
  • Iraqi Kurdish Revolt

    The Kurdish Revolt was led by Mullah Mustafa al-Barzani in an attempt to the creation of a Kurdish nation in Northern Iraq and the destruction of the Iraqi regime of Premier Abdul Karim Kassim.
  • The Second Intifada

    The second Palestinian uprising against the Isreali occupation.
  • US Presence in Afghanistan

    U.S. President George W. Bush demanded that the Taliban hand over Osama bin Laden and expel al-Qaeda. The Taliban requested that bin Laden leave the country but the U.S. and allies drove the Taliban from power and built military bases near major cities across the country.
  • Bin Laden’s War

    A declaired war against the USA involving bombings and related attacks.
  • Second Persian Gulf War

    The second of the series of Persian Gulf wars. It began as a military invasion by a multinational force led by the United States and the United Kingdom but resulted in a constitutional democracy.
  • Current War in Iraq

    An invasion force from the US in Iraq lead to longer phases of fighting. The reason was the UK claims of Iraq having weapons of mass distruction, posed a threat to their security and that of their coalition/regional allies.
