These games interrupted the usual pattern by introducing the first remakes of already released titles. These games were updated versions of Pokemon Red, Green, and Blue, featuring better graphics, new gameplay mechanics, and compatibility with other more recent Pokemon games. Generation: 1

Following suit with the previous generations, this game was a rehashing of the previous titles with improved game mechanics, new story elements, and even some new Pokemon. Generation: 3
