    Point Park College was founded in 1960. The school now has 3,920 recorded students with approximately 1,000 students living on campus.

  • Men's Golf Started Play

    Men's Golf Started Play
    The team started play in 1967 and played until 1972 when they disbanded. The team started back up in the fall of 2009.
  • Men's Basketball team Created

    Men's Basketball team Created
    The first team played a full season in the 1967-1968 season.
  • Baseball Team Created

    Frank Gustine was the first head coach of the baseball team as they went 4-8 in the first season.
  • Men's Baseball Team Reaches NAIA Tournament

    Men's Baseball Team Reaches NAIA Tournament
    The team placed 4th in the nation as they went 19-5 on the year under head coach Frank Gustine. The team also won the District 18 Championship. Gustine played in the major leagues as a Pittsburgh Pirate before coaching.
  • Women's Basketball Created

    The first head coach was Richard Baxendall. The team went 0-10 in their first season.
  • Don Kelly drafted into MLB

    Don Kelly drafted into MLB
    Don Kelly, a baseball player from Point Park, was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 8th round. He made is debut in the major leagues in 2007 when he played with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

    Point Park joins the AMC
    Point Park joined the American Mideast Conference with teams such as Carlow University and Walsh University.
  • New Logo is created

    New Logo is created
    A new logo is accepted and used for the Point Park University athletics programs. This logo of the Bison is displayed on all uniforms.
  • Student Center allows on campus games

    Student Center allows on campus games
    The recently acquired Student Center on campus allowed the women's volleyball team to play a game on campus. The men's and women's basketball teams also practice in the gym daily.
  • Point Park joins the KIAC

    Point Park joins the KIAC
    [KIAC](http://www.kiacsports.com/)Point Park joined the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference alongside Carlow University. The conference holds teams from Kentucky, Pennsylvanis, Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, and Missouri.
  • AMC Ceases Operation

    The American Mideast Conference officially disbanded as teams began to find new conferences. This forced Point Park to find a new conference to join.
  • Women's Volleyball team gets nationally ranked

    Women's Volleyball team gets nationally ranked
    For the first time ever, the women's volleyball team received a ranking in the NAIA polls. The team ended the season in 2nd place in the KIAC and narrowly missed the national tournament.
