After spending a few days with August and Birdie, the Lands head to the Badlands but encounters Andreeson.

Andreeson pursues them since Swede poured syrup down his gas tank but they pass all the patrols/cops/ect. without trouble.

The Lands get gas at the station and stay for a while.

Reuben visits Davy at his hideaway and gets to know Jape and Sara.

He and Jeremiah leave for a while to find Davy with no luck.

Once he starts to date Roxanna, he lives out in the trailer to honor her.

Reuben realizes this and tells his dad. He then helps find Jape without success.

They come home and Roxanna and Jeremiah get married.

They come back to Minnesota, telling the family they escaped once Jape wanted to make Sara his wife.

He comes by the house and shoots Jeremiah and Reuben.

They both are in the afterlife and Jeremiah takes Reuben's place. Reuben is alive again with healthy lungs.

They send a card saying they've taken care of Davy for a few days.

Reuben visits Davy once in a while up in Canada. Jape escapes and his location is unknown. Reuben also marries Sara.
