    Men and women started dying because they were infected with scurvy and other disease, the healthy men and women tried helping the sick.

    Samoset came to the pilgrims to try and communicate with them to find a way for the Indians and pilgrims to live together.
    “At length they understood by discourse with him, that he was not of these parts, but belonged to the eastern parts where some English ships came to fish, with whom we was acquainted and could name sundry of them by their names, amongst him he had got his language.”

    Rudeness Gets You Nowhere
    A man who was rude to everyone on board the Mayflower became ill with a disease. He died shortly after and was thrown overboard by the men he was rude to.
    “But it pleased God before they came half seas over, to smite this young man with grievous disease, of which he died in a desperate manner, and so was himself the first that was thrown overboard.”

    The voyage is over
    The pilgrims on the mayflower finally saw Cape Cod when the day was coming to an end.
    “But to omit other things after long beating at sea they fell with that land which is called Cape Cod; the which being made and certainly known to be it, they were not a little joyful.”

    Agreement is set
    An agreement was set out for both sides for the Indians and Pilgrims to live together with no complications.
    “That neither he nor any of his should injure or do hurt to any of their people.”
