    World War 1 began in Europe in 1914. Many countries are in a struggle for power. Rivalries grew, and alliances kept tensions high. Pride in one's own country, called Nationalism, was one of the causes for this major war.Countries built strong armies and navies.

    Trench warfare is a style of warfare when you dig deep muddy trenches to protect you from enemy fire. When it came time to fight you would climb up a ladder and just be looking out. This style of warfare helped save a lot of lives. The central powers surrenderd in 1918. They were forced to accept harsh punishments. The central powers had to pay millions of dollars to the allied powers. This treaty was sgned a Versailles. The treaty also stated that the central powers could not have an army.

    Tsars had ruled Russia for hundreds of years. They were absolute rulers who in the 1900s people started to grow unhappy with them. A revoultion, called the Russian Revolution in 1917 forced Tsar Nicholas II to give up the throne.

He killed anyone who chalenged his rule He set up brutal prison camps. Overall he was probably responsible for over 10 milion deathes

This caused people to rush to the bakes and sell there stocks when this happend the banks ran out of money and could not pay these people back. People had to send there kids to orphanages. They had to live in houses made of cardboard. People would hop trains to get from city to city looking for work.

    The bombing is when the Japanese dropped a bomb on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.The attack drew the US into the war on the allied side. After just two hours of bombing, more than 2,400 Americans were killed. 21 ships had either been sunk or damaged. There was more than 188 aircrafts destroyed.
