Gaston County's WebsiteOn September 10th, 2001 my family got a little bit bigger. My mother gave birth to my little brother, Austin. He was born sometime in the evening and was a little over 9 pounds. He was born in Gaston Memorial Hospital. -

9/11 AttacksOn September 11th, 2001 Islamic extremist hijacked four airliners and flew the two of the planes into The World Trade Centers in New York City. One of the other two went into the pentagon and the last one crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. -
Grandpa died.
Gaston County WebsiteOn Febuary 10th, 2005, my grandfather passed away. He died from lung cancer. He was diagnosed a couple months before with lung cancer but it was too far along to try and stop it. He never smoked a day in his life. -

Osama Bin Laden's Death On May 1st, 2011 around noon, United States raided Abbottbad, Pakistan. On May 2nd, President Barack Obama annouced that Osama had been killed, he called it "the most significant achievement to date". Osama was buried at sea in the Arabian Sea. -
Open heart surgery
Levine Children's Hospital WebisteOn August 23rd, 2011 I had to undergo open heart sugery. I was 13 years young going into the 8th grade. The surgery was 6 hours and 45 minutes long. I stayed in CMC Levine's Children's Hospital for 5 days and I was out of school for three months. -
