    Although I do not know the exact date on which my parents divorced, this event greatly altered my life. The event caused me to have to go to the other parent's house every week.

  • Interest in math begins

  • Barack Obama sworn in as 44th president of the United States

  • Osama Bin Laden is killed

    This event affected me because it was the first time that I really got involved in a U.S. event. I had already learned about the 9/11 terrorist attacks in school, but when Osama was killed I learned more about Al Queda and other terrorist attacks
  • Boston Marathon Bombing

  • Rise of ISIS in a large amount of territory in western Syria and northern Iraq

  • Trip to Philmont: Cimarron, New Mexico

  • First case of ebola in U.S.

  • Riots in Baltimore begin after the death of Freddie Grey.

  • AP U.S. History class

    This class greatly affected my life because I was able to learn about history and why it is so important that we learn from it. It gave me a taste of what history in college will be like and what other AP classes are like.
