  • IRAQ INVADES KUWAIT

    Iraq had invaded Kuwait because they believed that there country was over exceeding/producing oil fields and it wasnt fair to them how high their economy was.
  • SAUDI ARABIA CALLS THE U.S.

    Iraq wanteed to invade Saudi Arabia and take over their oil fields but Saudia Arabia would not let that happen so they called the U.S. for military support and the U.S. launched the "Operation Desert Shield".
  • GEORGE H.W. BUSH ORDERS A WITHDRAWL OF IRAQI TROOPS BY THE NEXT YEAR

    George H.W. Bush sent 230,000 troops to Kuwait but Iraq was already creating a strong military buildup over there but then had to deploy them because of the military buildup. President Bush then announced the Iraqi troops to withdraw by Jan. 15, 1991.
  • BUSH WINS CONGRESSIONAL APPROVAL

    President George H.W. Bush won congressional approval by sending horrific air assualts against Kuwait and Iraq's military system.
  • BUSH'S PLANS GO ACCORDINGLY

    President George H.W. Bush's plans are going as planned and Iraq withdrew from Kuwait. The Soviets had also sent a peace treaty to have a gradual withdraw but Bush had ignored that and what he did was he made the troops leave by noon.
  • GROUND WAR BEGINS/ U.S. VICTORY

    President Bush had ordered a ground war around Feb. 26th and the U.S. had beat Saddam Hussein's troops in only 4 days which is insane.
  • IRAQ AGREES TO THE RULES

    After the U.S. initiated a cease fire to end the Gulf War, the U.S. made Iraq agree to all of its "Terms and Conditions" of the UN resolutions. Around this time all allied prisoners are also released. Later the cease fire is official.
