Perseus

  • Fate? What is that?

King Acrisius gave birth to a female named Danae, and was pissed off because he did want a son. So he went to a priest at Delphi and the priest and asked if he was going to have a son. Well, the priest might of rudely said no, and the priest told him that the child of Danae is going to kill him.
  • Fearing for his safety.

Since the priest told the king his vision, he put his daughter in a bronze house underground with no way out because it was forbidden to shed family blood.
  • I'm singing in the...gold rain?

Seeing this, Zeus came down in a golden shower and basically raped Danae to bear a child named Perseus.
  • Acrisius had a temper tantrum

Danae tried to hide her son's arrival into the world, but then Acrisius found out and asked who the father was. Even though Danae told the story on how Zeus came in the bronze prison, the king threw Perseus and Danae in a chest out to sea.
  • "Lady Luck came and found me!" -Seymore

Seeing to this trouble, Zeus probally got down on his knees and begged Posieden to wash the chest onto the shore where they could now be safe. Then a fisherman came in, destroyed the chest and took Danae and Perseus into his home with his wife who were as kind.
  • Jealousy

Polydectes, the king of the island and brother of the fisherman, wanted Danae as his wife. However this may be, he doesn't want her son at all. (Couldn't he use Perseus as his heir :I?)
  • THE PLAN

As time goes on, Polydectes plans a scheme to rid Perseus of his exsitance. He told Perseus that he loved the sight of Gorgon heads as he plans a wedding gathering - with perseus included - to announce himself getting married with Danae. They all have toi bring gifts, and perseus didn't have any.
  • The gift from the Gods.

Hermes appeared to Perseus, and told hm to be properly equipped and get something that the Nymphs had possesion of and gave Hermes a sword, and Athena stood beside Perseus to give him a shield that acted as a mirror to see Medusa's face to avoid beig stoned in a non druggish way. Then Perseus continued.
  • Land ashore!

Hermes, being Perseus' guide of travel, helped him find his way to the place where Medusa is. The group of Gorgons were asleep, and Perseus looked into the shield to look for Medusa as Athena led his hand around. Well he found Medusa and stiked, severing Medusa's head and went back home.
  • Well, tried to go back home.

Perseus saw Andromeda, an Ethiop queen of the sea nymphs with ravaging beauty and fell instantly in love. The queen was waiting for a vile monster on the shore, and Perseus waited for it with her. Well surprise, the monster came up and and Perseus severed it's head and asked Andromeda to marry him in front of her parents.
  • ONWARDS

Perseus sailed back with his wife to the island where her mother lived and found basically no one like it was an apocalypse. The wife of the fisherman was dead, and Danae and the fisherman hid from Polydectes who had another temper tantrum when Danae refused to marry him.
  • Another plan!

Apparently Polydectre was holding a banquet for the men that favored him. So Perseus went there and held up Medusa's head and made everyone at the banquet turn to stone.
  • Father?

Perseus then wanted to go see if his grandfather would accept Danae and him to a family again. Apparently his grandfather wasn't there to be found, so he shrugged off and joined an athletic contest in the north.
