In August a war in the Pacific (Europe), when Germany planned to invade Poland. Several other countries were involved such as England and Japan, thought during this time the United States did not join the war.

America boycotts Japan by creating new trading sanctions that restricted how Japan traded their goods. The U.S did this because of the actions of Japan in the war.

Because of the trade bans and because the United States had not yet joined the war Japan planned ways to retaliate for the trade restrictions given. Japan began to bully the U.S to lift the bans or join the war.

An American intercepted messages about an attack on Pearl Harbor but no one believed him at the time. Although no one believes him, during this time Japan is still planning and sending messages about future attacks.

Japanese submarines leave Japan to scout the surrounding areas of Pearl Harbor and where its best to let out an attack.

Although the messages about the attack Japan was planning on Pearl Harbor finally reached command in Hawaii, they had little time to prepare.

Sunday Dec. 7 1941, the first attacks on Pearl Harbor were in motion. Tons of bombs from planes with Japanese flags, flew over the harbor proving to the United States that Japan was serious about its messages. This went on for about two hours.

After the United States declared war on Japan, Germany and Italy followed suit and declared war on the United States.

In early 1945 atomic bombs were slowly being created, and were being tested by the United States during the war.

American troops dropped two atomic bombs onto Japan. Their drops on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were successful ending WWII
