During his time in his hometown of Vienna, he attended primary school and high school. Began taking singing lessons and attended musicals.

After high school he was drafted into the German Arbeitsdienst, a major organization in Nazi Germany dedicated to mitigate the effects of unemployment on the German economy.

He returned to Vienna, Austria to go back to school and study history and sociology. He quickly became dissatisfied and changed to physics, where he met Felix Ehrenhaft who influenced Feyerabend drastically. He than changed his course philosophy.

He visited the first Albach Forum where he first met Karl Popper, who had a positive and negative impact on him. He was going to study under Ludwig Josef Johann WIttgenstein but died before Feyerabend could move to England. So he chose Popper as his supervisor instead.
