I was lent a book by one of my parents friends and someone who acted as a mentor to me during junior high. This book followed the Ruby Ridge event of the early '90s and was about a man who was killed by the FBI for being in a militia. It started a whole spin of distrust towards government and authority which I still carry today.

When we got our computer, I taught myself HTML coding using a library book and by reading the source code to other webpages. This was much simpler with early HTML verses how it is now.

A friend at school described this book to me. I read it, and then read it again and again.

Throughout High School, I took mostly the college prep courses. School was pretty easy for me. I also took spanish courses.

This concert really opened my eyes to the Christian alt-rock scene which I still listen to.

My short stint being in a band. Lead guitarist. Inspirations from Nirvana, Blink-182, and such. Real story behind the band is much more interesting.

After taking a photography class at USI, I found myself reading photography books and magazines for many years to follow.

While not a book, I found the story of this game to be very enthralling. I played it through at least 3 times. I also found this during my technical training for my USAF job, so I wasn't allowed to go anywhere. This gave me a release.

Found non-fiction I was actually interested in. This started an era of nearly strictly non-fiction reading/audiobook listening.

About the only reading I did in the Air Force was books about personal finance with the "Get Rich" angle.

This was probably the first fiction book I had read in years. It got me back into fiction. I use mostly audiobooks, but I have been much more into fiction than in years past.
