John Micheal Osbourne is born
Born on December in 1948 in Aston, Brimingham, England, Uk, he was the fourth child of six to John and Lillian Osbourne. Grew up during World War II, in a factory town of Aston, "The only jobs to be had were in the factories, and the houses people lived in had no (toilets) and were falling down" (Osbourne 5). It was during school where he acquired the nickname Ozzy, which was what kids called him to make fun on him. -
Ozzy Zig gets a Gig
Once Ozzy started desplaying his talents and hanging up papers that he was a singer, he got the chance to play in his first band called Earth. Under the name of Ozzy Zig, he and his band mates played around bars in the Brimingham area. The bands manager was run by a man named Terry (Geezer) Butler. -
Black Sabbath
Once Earth gained in popularity after every show, they started touring in new areas, including Hamburg. During this time, they got a record deal and a finished album. They ended up changing their name after one of their songs, Black Sabbath. -
Ozzy gets Married
Thelma Riley came into Ozzy's life, along with a new home in Edgbaston. Burmingham. Thelma was recently divorced so she had already had a son that Ozzy adopted, Elliot Kingsley. -
Coming to America
A few months after Ozzy got married to Thelma, Black Sabbath got the chance to play in America. The came with their new recording of War Pigs, Hand of Doom, Iron Man, and the song that got them fame, Paranoid. The song wnet to the number four spot in the single charts over in Briatian, and on Top of the Pops. Black Sabbath ended up getting gigs everywhere in New York, and Los Angelos. -
Ozzy becomes a Father
Jessica Starshine Osbourne is born, Ozzy's first child, and Thelma's second, in Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Edgbaston. Ozzy couldn't stay for long since Black Sabbath was getting more gigs in America, so later he and Thelma moved to the United States. -
John Dies and Ozzy leaves
Ozzy's father dies "at 11:20 p.m. on January 20, 1978: in the same hospital, on the same date, and the same time as Jess had been born six years earlier (Osbourne 182)". A year later, April 27, 1979, Ozzy was fired from Black Sabbath over arguments. He was replaced by Rainbow's singer, Ronnie James Dio. -
Blizzard of Oz
Ozzy went solo with the help of Sharon Arden who managed the new band, and with Dana Strum (Drummer). After rejected dozens of guitarist, he found Quiet Riot's guitarist and his long time friend, Randy Rhoads. "He had long wet-looking hair, nad this weirdly deep voice, and he was tihin ha was almost not there." -
End of Thelma
Ozzy had ended up spending so much time with his new manager, Sharon, that he ended up falling in love wtih her. One, drunk, night he told Thelma the truth about his new interest. She ended up kicking him out and divorced him. Three weeks later, ozzy finishes his second solo album. -
Ozzy's famous action
On the Diary of a Madman tour, in Des Moines Iowa, unknowingly and drunk, Ozzy cought a bat that some fan threw out. Thinking it was a toy, Ozzy bit the head off it, only to find out that it was real. -
Tradegy to a Friend
During a road trip, ozzy woke up to loud airplane noises, then a hugh crash right in the tour bus that he was in. Only to see fire from a house near the destroyed bus. He later learned that Randy was in a four seater plan with a emotional pilot. The plane hit the bus with one of its wings, and went stright into a house. Randy was pronounced dead on March 19th, 1982. -
Ozzy and Sharon
Sharon and Ozzy get married in Hawaii. "Sharon chose July 4 as our wedding dya - so I'd never forget the anniversary -
Ozzy's first child with Sharon
On September 2 of 1983, at Wellington Hospital in St John's Wood, London, Aimee Rachel Osbourne is born. Ozzy's third child but first with Sharon. -
Then came the Second
Ozzy starts admitting his addictions to heroin and achohol and enters rehab. He wanted to change his life around. A few weeks later, Kelly Osbourne, Ozzy second daughter with Sharon, is born. -
Reunion and Third
On july 15th, Ozzy reunites with Black Sabbath to play the LIve Aid concert. After a few months, Jack Osbourne is born. "It was crazy, really, because i edned up touring the world as te Prince of Darkness with three little kids in tow" (Osbourne 283). After Jack was born, Sharon and Ozzy agreed that three was enough. Ozzy went in for an appointment the next day. -
Rock and Roll hall of fame rejection
Ozzy was invited to join the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but he said no thanks and denied their request. -
The Osbournes
Ozzy and his family get a deal with reality TV. They ended up staring in their own reality show, The Osbournes, which last around 3 years on MTV. -
