After Germany had control of Poland, Schindler moved to Krakow from Svitavy in October 1939. In the factories where they were Germanizing the Jewish and polish is where Schindler employed the jewish. He employed just over 1,000.

In October the Emalia Jews had been transferred to plaszow. Schindler sought and received the authorization to relocate his plant to Brünnlitz (Brnenec) in Moravia, and he reopened it excluevly as an armaments factory. An assistant of his made several lists of up to 1,200 Jews. The list was known as schiendlers list.

On May 9, 1945 is when Schindler left Brünnlitz that is when the troops liberated the camp.
