Welles directed, co written, and acted in the movie "Citizen Kane" Welles received Academy Award nominations as producer, director, actor and writer but won only for Best Original Screenplay, which he shared with Mankiewicz.(www.hollywoodsgoldenage) The film however was not a commercial success. RKO did not re-release it until 1956. -
