There are three reasons conflicts appear in Thomas Hobbes’ state of nature: competitiveness, difference, and glory. These characteristics lead people to fight one another for material gains, safety, and reputation. Ultimately, people need to create a government to protect themselves from one another. Locke and the founding fathers rejected Hobbes’ argument that the government had absolute power over its subjects.

In the state of nature, according to Locke, each person has the right to punish anyone who violates his or her rights. The idea of the social contract influenced the Founding Fathers. And this is the idea of a voluntary relationship between the people and the government. And the government has the responsibility to protect natural rights. -

I think the Freedom of religion is the most important. No one should flee from religious persecution or anything like that. The U.S. should be able to declare any national religion. We should not persecute someone just because of their religious beliefs.
