Open Ice

  • Nick Taglio gets his fourth concussion.

    He gets his first grade-three concussion, he was slammed up and hit his head against the ice.
  • Wakes up in the hospital

    Gets dizzy and other signs of a bad concussion, lies to the doctor's about it.
  • Went back to School

    Nick goes to school, gets stared at by people. Gets really bad headaches and really dizzy and stuff.
  • Hockey Game!

    The first game Nick goes to he stands in the crowd and watches, gets yelled at by his coach after the game is over. Then he goes to a party and gets his symptoms back and tries to act it off.
  • Visit with Dr. Blakeman

    Finds out that he can no longer play hockey anymore. Tries to convince them otherwise, doesn't work. Then tries to explain it to Devin and she flips out on him.
  • Teammate leaves.

    His friend Mac announces that he is leaving the team since it won't be the same without "Taglio"
  • Fight with Devin.

    Nick tries to keep up with his school work. Devin wants to go to the game, she accuses him of "milking the concussion"
  • Resource Room

    He and Devin were arguing all week. Then his parents notice that his concussion symptoms get worse. Then his parents talk about sending him to the Resource Room until his grades and stuff get better.
  • It's Over.

    Devin breaks up with Nick. Then Nick realizes that she only wanted to be with someone that could skate. And Devin realizes that he was trying to hurry her to have sex.
  • Fight with Griffin.

    Nick and Griffin smoke pot together and Griffin says the truth about how Nick has been acting and they stop talking.
  • Another Visit With Blakeman

    Sets up a neuropsychological test for his head. Also sets up a tutor for him.
  • Playoffs For Hockey

    Nick doesn't want to go. But his parents think it'd be best for him to go and cheer Griffin on. So he does and him and Griffin start talking again.
  • "In the dream there's always open ice..."

    Mr. P, his Language Arts teacher makes him stay after to write his paper. So he doesn't know what to write, so his teacher lets him write about whatever he wants it to be.
