  • The 15th Amendment

    the 15th Amendment states that "The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude" Which was ratified on February 3, 1870.
  • The Assassination of Franz Ferdinand

    After lunch at the City Hall Franz Ferdinand insisted on visiting injured attendants who were in the hospital. but on the way to the hospital the driver took a wrong turn. After realizing his mistake he stopped the car and began to reverse. A terrorist, named Gavrilo Princip, stepped forward and fired two shots. The first hit the pregnant Sophia (his wife) in the stomach who died almost instantly. The second shot hit the him in the neck. He died a short while later.
  • Completion of the Panama Canal

    This project was first started by the French but because so many people died (over 21 thousand) they stopped making the canal. Soon after that, the United States had taken over and completed it. but alos lost over 5 thousand people as well. .
  • US enters WWI

    We wanted to stay isolated. But Germany sent a letter to Mexico the "Zimmerman Telegram." The letter said how if Mexico attacked the U.S. Germany was basically promising to return the former Mexican states if they win the war. The main reason why we entered the war was because of due to the bombings of ships with U.S. citizens cauased by Germany.

    The Treaty of Versailles was one of the peace treaties at the end of World War I. It ended the state of war between Germany and the Allied Powers. It was signed on June 28, 1919.

    Hitlers invasion on Poland was considered a success. It was so he could basically expand Germany as a whole so he could become very powerful and strong.

    United States Executive Order 9066 was the United States presidential executive order signed and issued during World War II by U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt. It Authorized the Secretary of War to prescribe certain areas as military zones. Eventually, EO 9066 cleared the way for the relocation of Japanese Americans to internment camps.

    The United States dropped the first atomic bomb in Hiroshima, Japan hoping that the Japan would surrender and drop out of the war.

    Since the first bomb did not work as planned they dropped a second bomb hoping as well that they would surrender. Although, this time it was in Nagasaki
  • First U.S. military advisors were sent into Vietnam

    John F. Kennedy was training the the South Vietnam troops to fight North Vietnam. He was the one who sent military advisors to vietnam.
  • March on Washington

    The March on Washington was basically for Jobs and Freedom , it was a political rally that took place on August 28, 1963. It was organized by A. Philip Randolph, Bayard Rustin and Martin Luther King Jr. During this March, King delivered his famous "I Have a Dream" speech.
  • The Assassiantion of John F. Kennedy

    Kennedy, the 35th president was killed at 12:30 p.m. while in Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texas. Kennedy was fatally shot while traveling with his wife Jacqueline, Texas governor John Connally in a Presidential motorcade
  • first combat troops sent to vietnam

    This was the first commitment of American combat troops in South Vietnam and there was considerable reaction around the world to the new stage of U.S. involvement in the war.
  • The Assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.

    Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated the evening of April 4th 1968. While on his belcony at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis Tennessee he was shot.
