    The Puritans had boarded their ship and were leaving to sail to america so they could practice their religio freely and make a perfect community. "These troubles being blown over, and now all being compact together in one ship, they put to sea agian with a prosperous wind."

    The Bully, The Insults, The Resolution
    There was a man on the ship walking around making fun of the other passangers who had become sick, but he came victim to an unforgiving disease that killed him, and his body was thrown overboard.
    "He would always be condeming the poor people in their sickness and cursing them daily"
  • The Breaking of Dreams

    The Breaking of Dreams
    One of the main beams in the midship, that held up the sails began to crack and everyone feared that the ship would be unable to complete the journey. To fix the mast they brought a big iron screw from below and put it in the mast to hold it up, then they caulked around the screw and inside all of the cracks. "Which put them in some fear that could not be able to complete the voyage." "Which put them in some fear that the ship could not be able to complete the voyage."

    The settlers see the coast of Cape Cod as they are happy to find land after their long and vigerous journey. " Being thus arrived in a good harbor, and brought to a safe land they fell upon their knees and blessed the God of Heaven who had brought them over the vast and furious ocean."

    They decide to leave (what we know as Cape Cod) and sail down the coast ot attempt to find the first settlement (which was a couple hours South of them) "After some deliberation had amongst themselves and with the master of the ship, they tacked about and resolved to stand for southward."

    The Indians seemed to fear the new white settlers, because they look different and they are coming to their land and taking it form them and they dislike the idea of this. "would sometimes show themselves aloof off, but when any approached near them they would run."
