    Good Kids!
Through all the good times and bad at school, Mawi and Tewolde were still considered what youd call Good Kids. They worked hard at academics( missing only 10 days combined of school in the next ten years ahead!), listened to their parents and learned from some pretty rough mistakes. These boys had big hearts. And had futures ahead of them. They were recognized in school for their academic achievements and were hard working outside as well.

"He was a blessed one."

    Father

Mawi and his siblings did not learn much about who their father was until they had grown up. Haileab, their father, was born in Seraye, Eritrea, 1934. Both his parents died when he was just small and he moved into a Christian monastery. He soon left at age nine to find a relative to take him in which really tested his Faith under such neglectful conditions for a child. He left with nothing in his pockets, courage in his heart, and Faith in his soul to find life.
  • Started from nothing and relied on self and Faith...

Started from nothing and relied on self and Faith...
Mawis father hit the road with nothing and was determined to do whatever it took to make something of himself.. through battles and all. This is the gift he gave to his children. the gift to rely on God, self-worth, hard work, determination. He handed that down to them. . He did not attend High school but he did take the final test with the students and he ranked high. Hardships don't have to stop you, they can mold you, if you let them. with the grace of god.
