Timeline of sources used in my project 1 on Nuclear Energy.
  • "Global Warming, Nuclear Power..." By Dey Dipankar

The earliest of the articles I used in my project 1 paper, this visual helps to understand the founding thoughts of nuclear energy for the timeframe I used. This visual shows how nuclear energy was well recieved in the public, especially in India, given the author's opinion that India needed it to sustain economic growth there. At this point of time, India's growth was substantial. India is still growing exponntially. The public opinion has not changed, but I should look into them using more NE.
  • Nuclear Energy and Proliferation Risks" By Jackson

This article was written in times of nuclear weapon scares in the middle east, that still occur today. This opinion has not changed much since then, as the fear of nuclear weapons stemming from the use of nuclear reactors is still relevant today. This visual has been helpful in showing how the article was written when the war overseas was still in full force, and why we should be weary of using nuclear energy. That all the countries that have nuclear energy, have nuclear weapons as well.
  • "Nuclear Power and the Public" By Ramana

This article has changed the least, social opinion on nuclear energy is still very much negative, even though the article was written with Fukushima in mind, years later, it is still stigmatized. This visual has been useful in showing how Fukushima has effected nuclear energy opinion. This is the highest point for the opposition, and much following it is an attempt to reseat nuclear energy as a viable souce of alternative energy in the world. It has also shown how the argument uses the incident.
  • "Prevented Moratality..." By Pushker

This is the most factual of the sources I used, and centers more on facts. With that being said, this has the most unchanged argument, it is hard to refute his position. This visual helped me understand Pushker's attempts to reistablish nuclear energy. Where nuclear energy had been begun to die down, Pushker uses his article to reassert that it has saved lives, and is a safer alternative for energy.
