    In 1763, King George the third of Great Britain commanded that the Appalachian Mountins were the western boundry for all the colonies. This angered the wealthy investors who had already bought land west of the mountains. However not too many people followed this law.
  • Tea Act of 1773

    The tea act of 1773 allowed only the British East India Tea Company to sell their tea to the colonies in North America.The Boston Tea Party happened when this act took place, and it was when colonist dumped 340 chests of tea into the Boston Harbor and started shouting "Boston Harbor is a tea pot tonight!" The colonist also fought because they thought that the cheap tea would put them out of buisness, and also for their rights because they were still British citizens.

    The intolerable acts of 1774 were mostly caused by the Boston Tea Party. The act closed Boston Harbor, cancelled the Mashacussetts charter, sent people accused of crime to Britain for trail, and made General Thomas Gage the new govenor of Mashacussetts
