In this section it introduces Katniss and her sister Prim. The live in District 12 in a country called Panem. Katniss wake up and goes out to the woods where she meets with her friend Gale. The hunt together. The share a meal and talk about the reeping. Then they go back in town and prepare for the reeping. At the reeping Effie Trinket pulls a name and it is Primrose Everdeen. -

In this section Katniss goes back to her room and crys for a bit. She comes out for dinner and tells everyone what happened. They all watch her scores and Katniss gets an 11 while Peeta gets an 8. At the end Peeta asks to be coached separately and Katniss feels betrayed. The next day they discuss what to do for the interview. Cinna, her stylist,gets her oufitted and helps her get under control. In the interview Katniss shows-off and Peeta reveals he has liked Katniss for a very long time. -

After Peeta admits that he loves Katniss at the interview, Katniss is furious and smashes glass on Peeta and his hands bleed. The night passes and they meet again on the roof. The next day she prepares to enter the arena. Cinna slips her the gold Mockingjay pin. She gets in cyclider and is raised into the arena. -

In this section after Prim was chosen as tribute, Katniss freaks out and volunteers as tribute. The male tribute is a boy named Peeta Mellark. Katniss has a flashback where Peeta gives her burnt bread when her family was starving. Katniss is taken into a room where she is visited by her family, Peeta's dad, Gale, and Madge. Madge gives her a Mockingjay pin to represent District 12. Then Peeta and Katniss get on the train to the Capitol, and meet their mentor. Haymitch Abernathy. -

In this section Katniss is on the train and she cant stop thinking about her family. When they eat dinner the tributes and Haymitch break out into a fight because Haymitch wasn't taking them seriously. The train arrives at the Capitol and they are greeted by thousands of cheering people out of their window. At the capitol the stylists clean up Katniss. She meets her stylist Cinna. And he gets her outfitted for the opening ceremony. The capes on the costume burn, and made the crowd crazy. -

Peeta and Katness head back to where they are staying and eat dinner and discuss the training sessions. They go onto the roof at night and talk. The next morning they wake up and discuss their skills during breakfast. They go to training and tie knots and learn about camoflage. The next day Katness goes in for her solo training and she shoots an arrow in to an apple in a roasted pigs mouth to get the gamemakers attention. She storms out furious at the gamemakers. -

In this ection the games start and Katniss escapes with a backpack full of suplies and a knife that got thrown at her. She runs into the forest and sets some snares while looking for a source of water. That night she climbs a tree and sleeps in there. Not to far from her a girl makes a fire and the Careers kill her. Katniss realizesits peeta who had killed her. The next day she wakes up, checks her snare then keeps walking untill she stops again for the night. She wakes up to the forest on fire. -

I this section after Katniss is burned by the fireball she runs and finds a pool and cools off. As she is in the water the Career tribute find her. She runs away and climbs a tree. After many attempt the careers take to kill katniss, they deciede to wait it out and let her starve. As she is up in the tree Rue shows her a Tracker Jacker nest above her. Before she cuts it down haymitch sends her some medacine that helps her burns. She then cuts the nest down and the Trackers terroize them. -

In this ection Katniss is hallucinating and gets the bow back after Peeta saves her from the Careers. She then passes out for a few days and wakes up after the venom has weared off. She cleans herself and her stuff the settles in near the river. She finds Rue and they form an alliance. They help each other with food and medacine. They get up in a tree and devolop a plan to destroy the careers food. The next morning the wake up and get ready to exacute the plan. They both go their seperate ways. -

In this section Katniss starts to look for Peeta because now they can both win. She starts to look down by the river. She looks for awhile with no luck. She finds him camoflauged in a mud pit near the river. Katniss cleans him up and nurses him back to health. She finds a cave and puts peeta in it. The have their first kiss and Haymitch sends them a pot of soup. -

After blowing up the careers stuff Katniss goes to find Rue after several hours of waitin she goes out and looks for her. She finds here screaming and caught uo in a net. She goes t free her when a career throuws a spear and it hits rue. Katniss shoots him in the neck. As rue dies Ktniss sings to her and puts flowers in her hair. she then sorts her stuff and goes hunting. She starts up a signal fire to attract Cato but he doesn't come. There is a rule change that says two tributes can win.
