He was born on July 10, 1856 in a small town called Smillan Croatia. -
He had his first job at Thomas Edison's company, first in Paris and then in Strasbourg, Austria. There, in his spare time, he developed the first induction motor. -
He made the first alternating current induction electric motor and many other electrical devices, including the one known as the Tesla assembly, a radiofrequency transformer in which the primary and secondary are tuned, useful when preselecting the input of a radio receiver. -
He invented a type of valve that allows a fluid to pass through it or not, without the need for moving parts. -
He died in New York, United States, on January 7, 1943.
