  • One of Icelands Volcanos Spark Travel Fears

    Iceland has closed its main airport and pilots are being warned to steer clear of aeras of ash. Icelands air traffic control operator ISAVIA estabilshed a 200 kilometre no fly zone. Its the lagest eruption in 100 years. The ash from Grimsvoth the volcano, is about 200 kilomtres east of the capital Reykjavik. Civil protection workers helped farmer to get there animals under shelter. People are being urged to stay indoors.

    A Mr Whippy ice cream truck has been beaten and robbed after refusing to hand over a free ice cream. The driver was selling ice creams near Whakatane when a young man along with a gang of youth approched him, wanting a free ice cream. When he refused to give him a ice cream the man leaped through the window, punching and leaving the man with cuts and bruises to his face and head. After the youth stole $600 from the till.
