UFO finding
Berwyn Mountains ran into an incident which has gone down in the annals of Ufology in the U.K. and on an international basis. Perhaps typically with these incidents, over 30 years after the incident there are differing opinions of what did happen on that cold winter’s evening on a lonely Welsh mountainside. -

The Khmer Rouge come
Khmer Rouge come into cambodia to bring everyone to "a better place" and all the rich are killed before they even start moving so Arn and his family start to get a little bit worried. -
Black Pajamas
No one is with their families and everyone still alive is put into different groups depending on their age and gender. Only Maly and Jorami are put into the same group. -
Chantou's death
If you give up your food, the Khmer Rouge will give you a letter sent from one of your family members to get up to date. After giving up his food, Arn finds a letter explaining that Chantou was murdered so he will never be able to see her again. As tears run down his face, Arn finally realises what emotions are again. -
The new chef
Arn gets promoted to being a chef in the group. He realises that he isn't the only new one. She sneaks food to him in exchange for just someone to be her friend. Arn also takes rice when she isn't looking so he gets a lot of food for Kha, Siv, and Mek. Her boyfriend notices that she hangs around Arn a little bit too much so he steps in. He was about to get killed when Khmer Rouge notice he is the khim player and lets him off with a warning, but Arn still feels dangered. -
Brigde and train catastrophe
In Granville, near Sydney, Australia, a loaded commuter train ran out of tracks and struck the supporting pillars of an over-bridge. The bridge collapsed onto the train killing 83 of the passengers and injuring more than 200 others. -
The great war
Kha Siv and Arn are put in a group together to act as bait to lure in the Viatnemese soliders. They are later seperated and Arn has to find Thailand which is his only sncutary to survive. -
South Lebanon conflict
The South Lebanon conflict was an intervention in Lebanon up to the Litani River carried out by the Israel Defense Forces in 1978. It was a military success, as PLO forces were pushed north of the river. However, objections from the Lebanese government led to the creation of the UNIFIL peacekeeping force and a partial Israeli withdrawal. -
Camps
Arn later finds where the camps are and he is given food, water, and shelter from Vietnam and the Khmer Rouge. The Thailand folks have also sheltered the Khmer Rouge so Arn is scared that he will get hurt. Missus Gotobed is trying to seperate the kids that were in the war from the nasty people so no one can escape from their own tent. -
Volleyball
Arn gets that now no one cares if he plays the khim because it's not important to Thailand or anyone in it. Volleyball is the only thing that matters and it takes him about six months to be the champion. Somehow Arn is back on top of the food chain and it is certain now that he won't be killed here either. The two other top volleyball players take Arn under their wing and now Arn finally feels that he has a place somewhere, somehow. -
Ted Kennedy proposed a refugee act
A 1985 ceiling of 70,000 refugees, with 270,000 immigrants all together and 20,000 from any one country, was established. Every year, the Proposed Refugee Admissions Report to the Congress is written explaining new circumstances involving refugees worldwide, and determining the new annual ceiling of refugees resettling in the United States. -
Landslides in San Francisco
On this day in 1982, many landslides formed near San Francisco, California, all os these landslides put together killed at leats 33 people and shutdown the Golden Gate Bridge. -
Peter gets threatened
Peter keeps taking Arn, and the other two boys to a Khmer Rouge party that is right down the street. Missus Gotobed keeps telling him to stop because she feels that someone is going to get hurt. Peter ignores her request and one day to a party, he gets attacked and almost dies from abuse. He stays alive and is bandaged up. Neither the kids nor Peter returned to another party. -
America
At the camps, Arn me a man named Peter Paul who agrees that him and two friends can go to America and live with him. Arn then chooses the two best volleyball players because they were the most respected at the camps. Arn is lead away to America and doesn't have to deal with anymore fake food, Khmer Rouge, or anything bad. He still feels guilty about leaving his family their to soon most likely die. -
Starting school
Arn now knows that since he has never been to school it's too hard for him to ever just get into highschool. He is put into different groups then all the other kids and they call him a retard. Arn doesn't get upset because he can't speak English like the other two. He releashes his "inner tiger" and tries to kill or at least majorily injury the kids that made fun of him once he is explained what they had said. Maybe the Khmer Rouge is coming out of him, and if so, no one will be safe.
