This battle is the first major battle in the civil war. The confederates won the battle. The main person in the battle was "Stone Wall" Jackson. The ''other'' general saw and said, "There stands the man standing like a stone wall".

Monitor and Merrimack (Iron Clad Battle)

The Moniter and Merrimack were both iron clad ships. The moniter was for the Union and the Merrimack was for the Confederates.The Battle ended up as a draw.
