    Al Capone was one of the most famous mobsters of his time. He was most famous for his alcohol distribution during Prohibition. He started his reign in New York, but after a while he was forced to move down to Chicago.
  • New York Giants v. Yankees 1921 World Series

    New York Giants v. Yankees 1921 World Series
    Said to be the most anticipated World Series, the 1921 World Series featured two outstanding teams. The New York Yankees and the Giants had an eight game face off from October 5th, to October 13th. The New York Giants reigned Champion that year.

    Benito Mussolini Rises to Power
    Benito rose to power in Italy in 1922. His goals were to try and bring Italy back to it's preveous state of world power. He was a facist, a form of radical authoritarian nationalism. He and Adolf Hitler shared simliar views on the world, which may be a reason they were both part of the Axis Power in WWII.

    Lou Gehrig
    Lou Gehrig was an all american Profesional Baseball player. He played 17 years for the New York Yankees. Lou Gehrig broke many records in baseball. He broke the world record for most consecutive games played (2,130). He also set a career grand slam recors (23), which Alex Rodriguez tied in 2012. Lou Gehrig died of an unknow disease and could not be treated. They named the diease after him, Lou Gehrig's disease.

    The peak of unemployment was in 1933. During 1933, the average for unemployment was 24.9%! about 1 in 4 people were unemployed. after 1933, the unemployment rate continued to drop until the U.S. was brought into WWII; due to the Pearl Harbor bombimg.

    A folow-up war from the first Sino-Japanese War from 1894-5 between the Republic of China and the Empire of Japan. This War lasted from July 1937, until September 1945.

    Pearl Harbor
    On December 17, 1941, the Japanese took an aerial assault to the United States of America. THey boomber Pearl Harbor, ultimately causing the US to join WWII. WIth this bombing, the US slowly crept out of the Great Depression because everyone was working in or to aid the military and the US army. There is now a Pearl Harbor bombing memorial in the State of Hawaii, dedicated and remembering of the victims.

    Adolf Hitler
    Adolf Hitler used to be a simple, infantry for the German Army. He rose through the lower ranks of the military and then he and the rest of Germany lost WWI. After losing WWI Germany had to pay great debts to other countries for "war costs". Germany was put in an even more sever state of depression. After spying and joining into the Nazi party, Hitler decieved his way all the way to the top and eventually took over Germany.

    Starting in 1927, the Chinese had embarked in a civil war. The war went from 1927 to 1950. When China entered the war, it was a republic (capitalist), when it emerged from the war, it was communist.

    "Second Cold War"
    This part of the Cold War is considered to be the "Second Cold War" because it was a major reawakening of the war. Both major pwers had greatening and problematic tensions between them. This caused the soviet war in afganistan.
