  • Love You Forever

    Love You Forever
This is a book that my Mom read to my siblings and me often when we were younger. I also read it to my son frequently.
  • Calvin & Hobbes

    Calvin & Hobbes
My brother and I always read Calvin and Hobbes comics from the newspaper. This book is the first one we got.
  • Little Witch

    Little Witch
My grandparents lived near a retirement community that held big yard sales every so often. I bought this during one of their sales and read it a million times. My son, Fox, destroyed my original copy, so I ordered it again. I've also read it to Fox. I don't know why this book has stuck with me so much.
  • Stranded

    Stranded
I don't remember how I came across this book, but I still think about it often. I loved it as a kid. I haven't read it in ages.
  • Harry Potter

    Harry Potter
I am by no means a Harry Potter fan, but I, like many kids in that day, read the first book when it came out.
  • Sailor Moon Comics

    Sailor Moon Comics
I've loved Sailor Moon for as long as I can remember. My family discovered a local comic book shop and I used to purchase individual comics of Sailor Moon before the big books came out.
  • Graduated High School

    Graduated High School
Over the years, my vision got worse, which made reading for longer periods of time unenjoyable. Once I graduated high school, reading on my personal time pretty much ended.
  • Leslie Patricelli

    Leslie Patricelli
Fox was born and I knew that I wanted reading to be important to him like it was to me as a kid. Lesli Patricelli's books were some of the first I read to him. This one was one of his favorites out of the series.
  • The Digger and the Flower

    The Digger and the Flower
I read this book to Fox at least one thousand times. Then, when he started talking, he told it to me, then he started reading it to me when he started to read. This book will forever have a special place in my heart.

    Diversity in Literature Course
"A Global Lens on Equity and Diversity in Young Adult Literature" rekindled my passion for reading, and I've been checking out books digitally ever since! Technology has made it easier for me to read.
