My Life in Movies

  • Finding Nemo

In the movie Finding Nemo, Nemo is feeling down when Dora suddenly says "When life gets you down, you know what you gotta do? Just keep swimming." This is quite an inspirational quote as when I have felt down, I just kept living life through the tough time.
  • Cars

In the move Cars, there was a scene where Lightning McQueen gives up his 1st place to help another racer across the finish line after crashing. This scene told me how important being kinda was and how kindness would not be ignored.
  • Ratatouille

In the movie Ratatouille, there was a quote by the critic Anton Ego where he says "“Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere.” He believed that not everyone could cook. This quote spoke to me as it showed the harshness of Anton Ego's mind but I believe that this is false as well because I believe you don't need talent to become great at something.
  • Tangled

In the movie Tangled, Rapunzel is forced to stay in the castle where it is dark and depressing because of her mother. This reminds me of whats going on right now with Corona where I'm forced to stay in my house.
  • The Incredibles

In the move The Incredibles, Dash is the son of the family who has superspeed and is very hyper-active and annoying. I can relate to him as I was like him as a kid.
  • Moana

In the movie Moana, one of the character that brings humor to the movie is the chicken. The chicken is an animal that reminds me of the guinea pig that I used to have because of how stupid he was.
  • The Maze Runner

In the movie The Maze Runner, in the beginning of the move, Thomas is sent up in a box and revealed in front of a bunch of people who he doesn't know and he also has no idea where he is. This scene reminded me of when I moved schools and didn't know anyone and didn't know how the school worked yet.
  • Final Destination

The movie Final Destination is a movie all about people dying in funny and ridiculous ways, but the title refers to all people eventually going to die.
  • Divergent

The movie Divergent's title reminds me of how it's good for people to be different as people are more fun if they're not normal.
  • Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials

In the movie Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, Thomas and his friends are forced to run into the desert to hide from WCKED and face extremely high heats. This reminds me of playing soccer in the summers when it's over 100 degrees and very hot.
  • The Divergent Series: Allegiant

In the movie The Divergent Series: Allegiant, Tris was seen as someone who was weak and would not shoot a bad guy but then proves him wrong when she shoots him. This is similar to when people thought I was bad at darts, but I turned out to be pretty good.
  • Avengers: Endgame

In the movie Avengers: Endgame, when Tony Stark is about to die, he says ""Part Of The Journey Is The End". This was an extremely sad scene as I'm sure everyone watching the movie never wanted Tony to die as he has been an important and funny member of the Avengers for so long.
  • Project Almanac

In the movie Project Almanac, David goes exploring in his basement and stumbles upon his fathers' prototype time machine. This reminded me of the time I went exploring in caves in Bermuda and found many interesting things.
  • Maze Runner: The Death Cure

In the movie Maze Runner: The Death Cure, Thomas encounters Gally again, the man who killed his friend and who was thought to be dead. Thomas automatically still sees Gally as a threat and punches Gally, but then realizes he needs to work with Gally to get into WCKED headquarters. This reminds me of the time I was forced to work with another person in which we didn't like each other but we had to anyways.
  • The Martian

In the movie The Martian, Mark is stranded on Mars by himself and he has to survive for an unknown period. This reminds me of when I was alone in my church for the first time and felt super far from the world.
