My Language Development since Birth

    I was born with a speech disability.

    I began to speak Spanish months before the 1st year of birth.

    Since Kindergarten till Sixth Grade I received Speech Therapy.

    I began to speak English since Kindergarten. Even though, my speech disability, I always loved it and put interest in the language.

    I had have great English Teaachers through my whole life. I have had participated in programs such as ESL Language Study-Vacation Program in UCLA. Disney Collage Program; Intensive Dance Summer Camp at Plymouth University in New Hampshire, among others. Also, I have had lived in USA. Awesome experiences that have had developed my English. Along with my University Degrees. The first one in Tourism and the second one in Elemental Education, both with specialization in English.

    Today's I have had become in a Bilingual Teacher.

    This is my third year teaching, but the first one in the public system, Department of Education of Puerto Rico.
    Years before I taught, pretty much in private bilingual school, and the bilingual program of U-46 District in Chicago, IL. I am a Certified Bilingual Teacher of the State of Illinois.
    I belong to BEC 21 Program; teaching Science and Math. I continue in a professional growth; taking courses to be a Bilingual Certified Teacher in PR.
