Escape from communism
Mike Totzauer wanted to find land of his own to begin an adventure in his life. He did not like the way he was confined in Czechoslovakia with communism and wanted a better life for his future family. To do this he planned to escape over the Berlin Wall; with the strict rules at that period of time this would be a very hard journey. With that being said he had to leave behind his mother and father, it was not an easy decision but they pushed him to achieve better things in his life. -

Finding Canada
He was sent to Canada to work; there he met Beverly Havies and fell in love. He wanted to start a family before taking on the adventure so he settled down for several years. He had many kids and grand-kids and wanted them to join on the journey. -
Leaving Canada
Still wanting to make his parents proud and peruse his dream, he convinced his wife, his kids and grand-kids, and many other people that escaped from communism to find new land. -
Finding Lexiland
After three weeks of traveling by foot and boat, we eventually found the perfect piece of land located west of the Americas. It was a large island with plenty of vegetation and beautiful scenery. There was about two hundred of us that started off Lexiland. -
A new constitution
All of us knew the hardships of having a government like communism and we would not allow that here. Mike, my grandfather, was getting too old for this so he left me in charge; he still wanted to see his dream flourish. Everyone knew that Mike had a president type role and passed it on to me because we were still a brand new nation. With that being said, I held a convention to get everyone's idea for a constitution. We all agreed on a representative democracy and voted me as official president. -
Communism takeover
As time goes on, communist countries like Czechoslovakia wanted to take over our land. They saw opportunities for an easy taking but it did not work; our hard work and determination beat the Communist cocky and large army. -

War between Lexiland and Czechoslovakia
The war lasted form July 20th, 1990 to November 5,1990. We had a fairly large population at this point so we had enough men to conquer our enemies.
