My Game History

  • Birth

  • Mario Galaxy

    Mario Galaxy

Super Mario Galaxy (Nintendo 2007) is the first game I remember playing. It is still my favourite 3D Mario platformer. I prefer Super Mario Galaxy (Nintendo 2007) linear levels over the more open levels from the previous Mario platformers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:SuperMarioGalaxy.jpg
  • Age of Empires 2

    Age of Empires 2

My parents bought Age of Empires 2 (Ensemble Studios, 1999) because I was obsessed with medieval knights and castles. I was never any good at the game and I played the game more like a city builder rather then a real time strategy game. Currently Age of Empires 2 (Ensemble Studios, 1999) is one of my favourite game to play with friends. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Age_of_Empires_II_-_The_Age_of_Kings_Coverart.png
  • Minecraft

    Minecraft

Minecraft (Mojay Studios, 2011) was the first game that I let my creativity flow. My friends always said I was great at building, I never agreed with them. Minecraft is the game I always come back to if I don't know what else to play because it is easy to be inspired. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Minecraft_cover.png
  • Skyrim

    Skyrim

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Bethesda Game Studios 2011) is a big inspiration for me. It was the first video game I played where I could explore and adventure in a massive and beautiful world. After playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Bethesda Game Studios 2011) my favourite games were ones which had a large focus on exploration and discovery. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:The_Elder_Scrolls_V_Skyrim_cover.png
  • Subnautica

    Subnautica

Subnautica (Unknown Worlds Entertainment 2018) is another game where a large focus of the game is on the exploration of the world. I loved how the game directs you through its world and the games objectives. I also really like how the game has no map to guide you as it forces you to familiarise your self with the world. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Subnautica_cover_art.png
  • Doom Eternal

    Doom Eternal

Doom Eternal (id Software 2020) is my favorite singleplayer first person shooter game. I love how fast the player moves and how you are required to keep moving to survive. Its also the only first person shooter I know which encourages weapon combos by switching your weapons on the fly to maximise your damage per second. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Cover_Art_of_Doom_Eternal.png
  • Hollow Knight

    Hollow Knight

Hollow Knight (Team Cherry 2017) is my favourite game of all time. I loved exploring its inter-connected world and discovering unexpected hidden bosses, upgrades and new areas. I really enjoyed how the game made you pay attention to your surroundings and memorise the map. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Hollow_Knight_cover.jpg
  • Fallout 1

    Fallout 1

Fallout 1 (Interplay Entertainment 1997) is my favourite Fallout game I have played in the series. I love its dark tone and themes. The game shows you the worst of humanity and askes you if the human race is worth saving. The ending of the game is a final gut punch of the themes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Fallout.jpg
