Christain Movement For Life Formed.
MOVE was originally called the Christain Movement For Life, they were founded in 1972 by John Africa. He was completely illiterate. (He still is) -
Massive Shootout Between MOVE and Police.
This started from them having to vacate from their houses. When a police officer tried to enter the house he was shot in the head sparking a gun battle. The nine members in the house were sent to jail and are currently in jail. There is a campaign to free them on MOVE's website. Their website is actually pretty terrible, none of the links on it work except for the one to buy their movie. -
MOVE Moves To A New House.
They moved to the infamous 6221 Osage Avenue in the Cobbs Creek of west Philidelphia. -
MOVE Gets Bombed
MOVE was getting evicted again and they weren't gonna go out easy. They built a bunker on top of their apartment with holes to shoot out of. The police arrived ready for them no not give up easy. They head tear gas ready and as soon as they did not cooperate they tossed the tear gas at them and immeaditly began recieving fire from MOVE. After a long stand off the mayor made a decision to drop 2 pounds of liquid explosives on their house. There were only 2 survivors, a young kid, and woman. -
60 Houses Burned Down
The Liquid Explosive they dropped caused a fire that put made 40 families on the street because their houses burned down.
