    End of WWI
    World War One, ended mainly because the allied forces defeated Germans and the opposition forces. The Germans ran put of money and couldn't continue. The world was against them, they only really had Turkey, Austria and Hungary on their side. They had limited access to food and resources. Also US declared war on Germany on April 6th 1917, because British passenger liner Lusitania was sunk by a torpedo from a German submarine, 1195 passengers, including 128 Americans, lost their lives.

    Treaty of Versailles
    The Versailles Treaty was signed on June 28, 1919. Which was peace settlement between Germany and Allied forces. This officially ended the WW1. The conditions in Treaty were so poor for Germany, which made the eventual rise of Nazi and the eruption of World War 2.

    The jazz age was one of the highlights of 1920’s. This was when dance and jazz music became popular in USA, UK and everywhere around the world. In Jazz Age the young ne set themselves free and had really wired hair styles and really short clothes they worn which shocked the older generations.     Televisions were available since late 1920’s. They were used in a lot of business, they were set in a lot of homes and many institutions. It was used for advertising, entertainment and mainly for news. The fun fact about this invention was that it wasn’t invented by one person but many people working together to create this amazing invention that is a little part of our lives now.

As the stock prices went higher without any hope of recovery, that put many American in panic. Many people would try to sell all of their stock but no one was buying them. The stock market which was the easiest way of becoming rich, suddenly went the opposite way.

The Day of Mourning was a day of protest held by Aboriginal Australians on 26 January 1938 against the british colonies living in Australia.

    The Japanese decided to attack Pearl Harbor mainly because they were really tired with all the negotiations with the United States. Japan wanted to continue their expansion within Asia but the United States had placed an extremely restrictive embargo on Japan. Rather than giving what the US wanted they decided to plane a surprise attack on US naval base in Pearl Harbor. This caused the war in pacific.

    On this day 242 Japanese fighter airplanes attacked the Darwin Harbor and the airfields of Darwin. They bombed Darwin because after destroying the Pearl Harbor the next closest allied country Australia and the naval base was in Darwin. Japanese knew that the US were going to use the Airfields of Australia as their Forward operating bases so they decided to bomb it.

    On this day America used their biggest atomic bomb on Japan. The bomb named little boy was dropped on Hiroshima because America didn’t have many soldiers or marines to still be in a war. So the bomb was basically dropped to bring pacific war to an end and save lives. But Japanese didn’t surrendered that easy so American had to drop another bomb on Japanese soil and this time it was Nagasaki.
