Steve wrote a note saying how awful jail is and how all they talk about is hurting people. In addition, he says thinking of it as a movie is the only thing helping him to not go crazy.

Osvaldo is on the stand and Petrocelli is questioning him. She asks him if he recognizes anyone in the court room and he identifies Bobo, James, and Steve.

Miss O'Brian's tells him that things are not looking good for him. She says the Judge can sentence him to 25 years to life, & he must serve at least 21 years and 3 months.

He expresses his feelings for how emotional it is to see his dad crying. He thinks that whenever his dad looks at him, his dad is seeing a monster. He does not want to be compared to all the bad guys taking stand.

Steve says he does not want what happened in the drug store in his mind, so he will not write about it and that the pictures of Mr. Nesbitt scare him.

Steve talks about how King offered him the job of lookout, and how Bobo said he would take part. King asks him if he is in and the flashback stops there.

There is a fight and the guards have to break it up. They get locked down in their cells, because of the fight.

They start calling witnesses into court. She speaks of an argument between two young men and the drugstore owner.

King's lawyer wants the connect them but O'Brien does not want that.
