    Anti-government militant Timothy McVeigh set off the blast in front of Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. 168 were killed and hundreds were injured.

    The Serbs had decided to do an ethnic cleansing of the Kosovo. This led to the U.S. stepping in to end the genocide.
  • The attack on the USS Cole

    The U.S. ship, the USS Cole, was attacked by a small boat with lots of explosives. 17 of the ships crew members were killed, and 39 injured.
