    There was a lot of racisum they were trying to escape.
    The whites left there jobs when the war started and african americans filled them.
  • 18th Amendment

    Started prohibition because the womens church groups saw how much alcohol was being consumed.
    Consequences were gangs, crimes/organized crimes.
    Nascar started because people who drank needed a way to get away from the police,
  • 19th Amendment

    Womens voting.
    Susan B. Anthony was the leading female pushing this.
    WidroWilfrid was aginst women voting but made it happen.
  • Emergency Quota Act.

    Limited immagration to 3% of the ethnicity already living in the U.S.
    Stoped Cathlics.
    This was ment to be a temporary situation.
  • Immigration Act Of 1924

    Limited immagration to 2% of that ethnicity living in the U.S.
    Immigration policy is tightning.
    This act was in replacment of the emergency quota act.
  • Black Tuesday

    First day stock market began to collapes.
    Stock market loses 12 million $.
    Hover is concerd but doesn't do anything.
  • F.D.R

    Elected F.D.R to save from The Great Depression.
    F.D.R started the New Deal.
    F.D.R was in a wheelchair.
  • State of Economy

    It was the worst for the U.S
    25% was the unemployment rate.
    Some causes were large citizen debt, untrustworthy banks, poor decisions on loans, banks closed so people lost money.
  • Hoover Damn Opens

    It was a public work project.
    5,000 workers to build the Hoover Damn
    It Supplies electricity to Las Vegas, and Los Angeles.
  • G.I. Bill of Rights

    The New Deal helped to move from WW2 to adapt into popular culture.
    Some benifits were low cost mortages, low cost loan to start business or farms, paid education, unemploment pay, 2.2 millon dollars went to schools.
