    Pan Am Flight 103 (known as the Lockerbie bombing in the UK) was a Pan Am transatlantic flight from London Heathrow Airport to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport that was destroyed by a bomb on Wednesday, 21 December 1988, killing all 243 passengers and 16 crew members.[2] Large sections of the plane crashed into Lockerbie, Scotland, killing an additional 11 people on the ground.

    was an act of domestic terrorism perpetrated by members of Aum Shinrikyo on March 20, 1995.
    In five coordinated attacks, the perpetrators released sarin on several lines of the Tokyo subway, killing thirteen people, severely injuring fifty and causing temporary vision problems for nearly a thousand others. The attack was directed against trains passing through Kasumigaseki and Nagatachō, home to the Japanese government. It is the most serious attack to occur in Japan since the end of World War

This attack caused 2996 dead and more than 6000 injured. (The attack were a deliberate attempt by a terrorist organization to affect the foreign policy of the US and the world)

    The 2002 Bali bombings occurred on 12 October 2002 in the tourist district of Kuta on the Indonesian island of Bali. The attack killed 202 people (including 88 Australians, 38 Indonesians, 27 Britons, 7 Americans and 6 Swedish citizens).[1] A further 240 people were injured.

Nine members of an al-Qaida-inspired terror group that plotted to bomb the London Stock Exchange and build a terrorist training camp have been jailed.
