Munich Olympics
During the Munich Olympics, a Palestinian terrorist group called Black September broke into the Olympic Village and took 11 Israeli athletes' hostage. The German Police tired and rescuce them but only made matters worst because once they saw the police, the terrorist started shooting the hostages. This attack happened because the Black September wanted them to release their 234 men from the Israeli Jails. 11 Israeli athletes and coaches, 1 West German police officer died during this attack. -
Grand Mosque
There was an armed attack and take over of the Al-Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Mahidi had took hundreds of pilgrims present for the annual hajj hostage.Hundreds of militants, security forces and hostages caught in crossfire were killed in the battles for control of the site.127 people were killed and 451 were wounded. Basically he just wanted to cause trouble. -
Assassination of Egyptian President
The president of Egypt, Anwar Sadat, was killed during the annual victory parade held in Cairo to celebrate Egypt's crossing of the Suez Canal. 11 people were killed including Sadat and 228 were wounded. Al- Qaeda was responsible for this attack. -
Air India Flight 182
Two suitcases were going to two differen places. One were on the plane heading its way to Toyko. The bag exploded at Tokyo's Narita Airport as it was being taken to wait for the Air India Flight 301. Two Japanese baggage handlers died and four were wounded. The other was on the plane e causing it to crash. 329 aboard were killed, including 60 children. 22 were Americans and 160 were Canadians. Many groups took responsibly for this attacks including Sikh Extremism and Babbar Khalsa. -
Central Bus Station
The Central Bus Station Bombing was the car bombing of the central bus terminal of Colombo carried out on April 21, 1987 in Pettah, Colombo, Sri Lanka. The bombing killed 113 civilians. iberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam was responsible for this attack. -
Colonel William Higgins
A Lebanese group had kidnapped William Higgins while he was coming back from a meeting. During his time being kidnapped he was tortured and interrogated. A year and a half later, a picture of his body hung by his neck was on tv around the world. Later on December 23, 1991, Major Jens Nielsen found the remains of his body. The reason why they did this was because killing an American officer, the terrorists created a linkage between the United States and Israel. -
Indian Prime Minister
After campaigning in Hyderabad his next stop was Sriperumbudur. Prime Minster Rajiv Gandhi was killed by a someone who was wearing asuicide bombing in Tamil Nadu. 14 peopple were also killed. Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam also known as LLTE was the people responsible for this terror attack. The reason for this attack was because Rajiv gandhi made prabhakaran signed an agreement with srilankan government. -
Tourist Massacre
Members of Islamic Militants fired the tourists bus while they were visiting the temple of Hatshesput. Six gunmen were killed during a two hour gun batle wih the police. 57 tourists, (five-year-old British child and four Japanese couples on their honeymoons), a local guide, and two policemen died during the attack. -
USS Cole
The USS Cole bombing was a suicide attack against the United States Navy while it was harbored and refueled in the Yemen port of Aden. On the day of the attack, a small craft came to the port side of the destroyer, and an explosion happened. 17 members of the ship crew were killed and 39 were wounded. Al-Qaeda was responsible for this attack. -
Moscow Theater
The Moscow theater hostage crisis was the seizure of the crowded Dubrovka Theater by 40 to 50 armed Chechens. The gunmen were led by Movsar Barayev threatened to kill the hostages unless Russian forces were immediately and unconditionally withdrawn from Chechnya. 170 people died and over 700 were wounded. -

A roadside bomb ripped through a U.S. diplomatic convoy in the Gaza Strip Wednesday, killing three security guards in the first attack on U.S. officials in three years of Israeli-Palestinian violence. -
Tal Afar
Atruck bomb exploded in a market in a Shiite area.152 people were killed and 47 were wounded. The explosion, for which a terrorist group linked to Al Qaeda claimed responsibility, led to the shootings by Shiite policemen and others against Sunnis, in which between 47 and 70 men were killed. Several Shiite policemen were arrested for taking part in the shootings. -
Mohmand Agency Attack
The Mohmand Agency attack was a suicide bomb attack in a market in Yakaghund, Mohmand Agency, in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. 104 people were killed while more than 120 people were wounded. The reason for this attack was because they wanted to clear militants from the Mohmand Agency and the surrounding area, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan was responsible for the attack.
