    On March 10, 1875 Alexander graham bell created the first handheld phone and tested it by telling his assistant that he wanted to see her.

    The candlestick phone was seperated into 2 piece one of which being candlestick like figure which formed a mouth piece and the other one was held at your ear during the call.this started to die out in the 1930's when both pieces were combined into one.

    The push button phone was introduced in 1963 it was better then the rotary phone because it had buttons and was easier to work. You were able to call someone by typing there number straight onto the keypad.

    This was the first mobile phone that was commercially available. A full charge took ten hours which only allowed you 30 minutes of talking time. It was prices at $3995 when it first came out.

    This changed the way we used phones. You no longer had to remeber people phone numbers and you could decide weather to answer people or let them go to voicemail.

    This was the first successful flip phone. It weighed 3.1 ounces and lead to a trend towards smaller phones. Eventually 60 million Motorola StarTAC phones were sold.

    one of the many classic Nokia phones, the Nokia 5110 was rugged and had a long battery life. the gamne Snake could also be played on it and the phone itsekf was cusomizable with replaceable face plates.

    Blackberry was by far the leading smartphone manufacturer back then. with their advaced technology such as email capabilities, blakcberry messenger and a physucal keyboard this was the best phone to own. Since the announcement of the iPhone blackberry has gone downhill.

    It was the first phone to include a camera. nuntil then nobody had expected that a camera ciould fit in a phone in our days a phone like that is pathetic. it is only able to store 10-15 photos. its flash was built in with a range of 3 feet only though.

    When the iPhone was first introduced in 2001 apple took smartphones to a whole new level. with its touchscreen intelligent sensors and sleek designed the iphone proved how old the other smartphones were. Initially lacking some features such as copy and paste the iphone has kept on improving so many things and to this day is still the leading phone company.
