His marriage
In 1953 he marries the doctor Myrto Altinoglou and the couple obtains 2 children Giorgo and Margarita. -
Studies
He continues his Music studies in Paris -
Sets to music the " Epitafios"
One night while he was waiting his wife in his car, he was reading the " Epitafios" by Gianni Ritso and he sets to music the first 8 verses -
Award
In 1959 the "Kopley" award is given to him for the best European composer of the year -
The time of the real music
From 1960 and on it's the time that the composer spends his time writing songs and "marries" the common rhythms, the common instruments, the common singers and the poetry of the famous agents from '30 -
President of " Neolaia Labraki"
After the murder of Gregory Labraki the "Neolaia Labraki" is created and Mikis Theodorakis becomes the president -
Zorbas
During 1964, he wrote the music for the Michael Cacoyiannis film " Zorba The Greek", whose main theme, since then exists as a trademark for Greece. It is also know as "Syrtaki dance" inspired from old Cretan traditional dances. -

Hospitalization
On February 26 2019 Theodorakis was hospitalized due to heart problems. On March 8 2019 Theodorakis underwent a surgery. -
My opinion
Mikis Theodorakis was an excellent composer. He has made over than 1000 songs and the events of his life were a lot that's why I dint write them all. I put the ones that I found most important!
